Margaret Ellen Anderson (nee Hayes) was born July 8, 1944, in Salem, Oregon. She was the beloved daughter of Harold and Dorothy Hayes and grew up with two younger brothers.
Margaret was known throughout her life for her warmth, her incredible pies, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome. She taught elementary school for 28 years at Lincoln Elementary, touching the lives of thousands of students.
She and Robert were inseparable from the day they met at a church social in 1960. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and always an extra place at the table for anyone who needed it.
Margaret loved gardening, quilting, and her weekly book club. She passed peacefully on Valentine's Day, just six months after Robert, surrounded by her family.
